We keep getting comments from advertizers on our blog. How did that happen?

It's funny that the first comment on this is spam.
These "people" have programs that basically auto-spam any blog they find.
We could get rid of this by enabling the word verification setting. I have it on my blog and haven't gotten any spam since.
I can turn that on anytime if people just let me know that they want it!
Okay, make it that the first comment on this WAS spam... i deleted it.
What is the word verification setting?
You would have to type in some letters to post something.
That sounds good to me, as long as the letters are easy to remember :-)
