I spent a day in this diesel electric engine many years ago.....interesting to see it again...things were sort of quiet on the blog and I though a little train stuff would be nice
You can never have enough train stuff. When we were in West Virgina once, we rode a coal-fired narrow guage train up a mountain and back. I can't remember how much coal had to be hand shoveled for the trip, but it was more than a ton!
I took a train from L.A. to Philadelphia way back when. It was a unique experience. I sat with some other friendly people in the top of a double decker car with a 360 degree view through glass going through the Arizona dessert. It was night time and there was this huge lightning storm that lit up the whole sky. Quite amazing. Then I spent the next couple days sitting up, playing cards and just hanging out. Very "City of New Orleans."

I agree - you can never have too much train stuff. I've never actually been on a train other than a subway.
