Definitely the coolest president we've had since Franklin Pierce.
Are you scamming us, Wray? Or are you the only one who knows anything about Franklin Pierce?
I am a presidential trivia nerd. About a year ago, I was sitting in the cafe at Barnes & Noble waiting for someone who was late. So i reached over into the bookstore and grabbed Presidents for Dummies and while I was waiting, read the chapter on Franklin Pierce. I have a fondness for him since he is our only documented alcoholic president. He married a recluse in New Hampshire, and she stayed at home when he went to serve in Congress. In fact she stayed in NH during his entire presidency, too, so he basically lived as a bachelor, drinking heavily and dying of alcohol-related complications.
I made up the part about him being cool.
