Empty nest
Ethan left for Penn State this afternoon. He and three classmates (all girls) submitted a paper to Penn State's Junior Science Symposium. They present tomorrow morning. The competition is pretty steep, so we are just happy that they get to present at all. The possibility is to win 2 rounds and go onto the national competition. It is just a fun and awesome opportunity for the kids. It is weird being childless for 3 days. A preview of the future I guess. Unfortunately, Drew is sick with a respiratory infection, so we don't get to enjoy it....a yes...I must have offended the Gods ;-)

Good luck to Ethan. He told me about this a few months ago... before he knew if they would be chosen or not. It sounds like a really neat program.
