this is where I used to run and now walk...the canal runs about ten miles and the part you see goes through Butler University....it goes through the Art Museum and down to the canal walk downtown...if you take it north it connects to the Monon which is the greenway that runs throughout the city. there are lots of runners and bikers but I did not feel comfortable taking their pictures without permission. we live a block from the canal.
That is so beautiful Ted. It reminds me of the wonderful park system in Allentown. I used to run on all the paths that followed the Little Lehigh. When I lived in Allentown, like you I could walk out my door and start my run. I can do that now, except there are no footpaths, which makes it a little tricky when cars pass by on narrow dirt roads.

we are lucky to live so close to the canal, Butler U., and the Monon (the rails to trails greenway which is so popular in Indy).
I think we went running there once didn't we?
