Brrrr

This strange and unexpected weather system settled on DC this morning, puzzling metereologists. The air is crisp and blowy, perfect day for a football game. It's amazing to see everyone going to work in turtlenecks and sweaters and jackets. You can even see your breath sometimes, and I think some of the maple trees are turning. I've turned off the AC and opened the windows. I think I'll go for a long bike ride, then come back and have some cocoa.

Can you send some of that up our way?! It's still brutal up here.

Last night was the worst. Ended up tossing and turning until 3 in the morning, unable to get comfortable in the heat. At that point, I was considering getting up and hoping in the shower... but Travis saved me by getting a wash cloth soaked in icy water (what a sweet FI). Man did that feel nice, and I was finally able to get to sleep.

I can't wait for the autumn.

Such a jokester you are, brother. Although it seemed improbable, I have experience temperature drops of 30 degrees in a day...it was nice just thinking of fall weather wasn't it?

Man, you really had me going for a second! I was ready to hope in my car and come down.

I think the heat is starting to relent. It actually feels okay outside at the moment. Of course, it is 9:30 at night... but its a start. Still taking the wash cloth with me to bed tonight though!
